This new firmware will provide better writing performance and reliability improvements.
Besides DRU-710A, the firmware update also applicable for models DRX-710UL and DRX-710UL/T.
The firmware update will first determine if your system has the compatible DVDRW drive. If not found, an error: \"No matched drive detected! This utility is only for SONY DVD RW DRU 710A Drive.\"
Although the necessary checking is done prior to the actual flashing being done, extra caution is needed.
You should make backup of your important files, close all open programs, close antivirus as well as make sure the update firmware process is not terminated prematurely. Any error may render your SONY DRU-710A drive unusable.
