Description

After you have downloaded and extracted the driver zip file, you will find two folders:

1. WinVista_ver105
2. Win2k_XP_ver105

Basically you will need to run SETUP.EXE to start the driver installation for your Roland Stika SX-12 in either Windows XP/2000 or Windows Vista. For detailed driver installation steps, please see below:

1. Using [LPT] As the Connection Port
   1. Log on as a user with administrator rights.
   2. If an older version of the driver is installed, uninstall it before you install the new one.
   3. Switch off the power to the machine, then detach the connector cable between the machine and the computer.
   4. Turn on the computer. After Windows has started, turn on the machine. At this time, do not attach the connector cable to the computer and the machine yet.
   5. From the [Start] menu, choose [All Programs], then [Accessories], then [Run], and then click [Browse].
   6. Choose the name of the drive or folder where the driver is located.
   7. Select SETUP.EXE and click [Open], then click [OK].
   8. The [User Account Control] appears, click [Allow].
   9. The Setup program for the driver starts.
   10. Click [Install] to choose it.
   11. Choose the machine and connection port youre using, then click [Start].
   12. After installation has finished, use the cable to make the connection between the computer and the machine.
   1. Using [USB] As the Connection Port
   2. Log on as a user with administrator rights.
   3. If an older version of the driver is installed, uninstall it before you install the new one.
   4. Switch off the power to the machine, then detach the connector cable between the machine and the computer.
   5. Turn on the computer. After Windows has started, turn on the machine.
   6. Use the cable to connect the computer and the machine.
   7. The [Found New Hardware] appears, click [Locate and install driver software (recommended)].
   8. The [User Account Control] appears, click [Continue].
   9. After a short wait, you are prompted to insert the disk. Click [I dont have the disk. Show me other options.].
   10. Click [Browse my computer for driver software (advanced)].
   11. Click [Browse].
   12. Select the name of the drive or folder where the driver is located, then click [OK].
   13. Click [Next].
   14. The [Windows cant verify the publisher of this driver software] appears, click [Install this driver software anyway].
   15. Click [Close] to finish installation.
