| Description | SGH-X686 Samsung USB Driver (ver.II 2.0) works for Windows 2000 and XP only. It is available for common language, meaning you can install it on any region.
The driver file is in WinRAR self-extracting archive format, so you need to extract the driver files into a temporary directory. After I download the driver and run it, the directory defaulted to C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla Firefox, you may want to change to other directory, e.g. c:\\sghx686. After extracted, you will find alot of *.sys, *.vxd, *.inf and 2 exe files, namely Setup.exe and SSM_Uninstall.exe. Run setup.exe and the Install Driver setup will prompt you ready to install Samsung Mbile USB Modem Software and you can change the install location. I will use the default directory, which is C:\\Programs Files\\SAMSUNG\\Samsung Mobile USB Modem, after that just follow the onscreen instruction to complete the USB driver setup.
