Description

According to Kyocera UK website, you do not need a USB driver for your Kyocera Finecam to connect to your PC. Reason? See below:

Kyocera FineCam does not use a twain interface. Camera memory will appeared in [my computer] as a removable disk drive. Windows 2000 and XP should be able to recognize your Finecam correctly once plug in USB cable and turn on the camera.

To transfer images to your PC, just copy the images from the camera/card reader (they are in the DCIM\\100kcbox folder) and paste them in a location of your choice in your hard drive.

You can then use your photo-editing software (PhotoImpression/Pixela etc) to look at or edit your pictures. Problems can also be caused if the camera is plugged into a USB extension hub. Shut the computer down, plug the USB lead directly into the computer and start the computer.

It is not absolutely necessary to use the editing software supplied with the camera – the vast majority of image editing software is suitable, for example ACDsee, PaintShopPro and Picaso.
