Netpen NX-300 is a USB wireless-N adaptor, whcih means it got the maximum transfer rate of 300Mbps. If you do not have a wireless N network, it is also backward compatible with older 802.11b and g networks. Security wise it has pretty standard WEP, WPA, WPA2 and RADIUS authentication, supporting both Windows and Mac OS. One thing I found funny is while the latest driver is dated 2012, the latest firmware is dated 1990. I am pretty sure this is just some data entry mistake on nilox website. There is only 1 "Nilox_16NX090104002_v1.0.6.exe" file inside the zipped driver file available for download. Upon installing the driver, you will have the options whether to just install the driver only, or with Nilox WLAN Utility. For NetPen NX-300 user manual, you can refer here. |
