I used the program you linked but I am unable to select my burner. The reason I was trying this is because when I start up my computer Windows says it does not have a hardware ID. I figured maybe it needed a driver but like I said I can not select the right burner with the program.

    stewpedasso,

Sorry to hear you still having the problem.

Maybe you can go to Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager and see if there are any yellow alerts next to the list of hardware on your computer. Post back the result here if any so others may help. Thank you.

I figured out my problem. I originally had 2 drives into 1 tape and then i switched my burner to its own tape and am leaving the other dvd drive unused. This solved it. Then after I burned one disk, I started having issues. Now when I put a disk in, it is as if the burner can not recognize it. So I used this file and the program to try and install the firmware in case that was the issue, but now it says it is the wrong firmware but I know i have the Tsst-corp H552l.

I have consistently been having a problem with the driver TS-552D on my Gateway pc. I had a problem with a corrupt driver recently & delted the driver & did a system restore and the problem was solved. I now have the same problem & deleting the corrupt driver & doing a sys restore doesnt help. Why does thic continue to accur & what can I do to prevent it?
