Description
If you have installed your Lexmark X1100 series printer on your PC using an original Lexmark Driver CD that came with your product and you are experiencing problems when printing in Windows Vista, you may have installed the Windows XP driver.
So what do you need to do to rectify the problem in printing? Well, you can follow these steps to resolve them:
- Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
- Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
- Download the correct Vista driver for your model.
- Install the driver on your PC.
Few precaution to remember during installing Windows Vista driver for your X1100 printer:
- Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.
- To prevent issues during the installation, please uninstall all previous versions of this driver prior to installing this web package.

I have two printers and I just want to use the lexmark printer as scanner only. When i want to print with the other printer i have always problems if i have installed the Lexmark multifuncional driver together with the other printer driver. Do you have only scanner driver for my lexmark?

Can you be more specific on what kind of problems do you face if install both drivers? As the Lexmark driver, I do not think there is option for to install scanner driver only.
Dear Sir
When i have the two drivers installed the Xerox printer and the Lexmark x1100, i can not print with xerox there are many troubleshoot like : the printer stuck the paper, have only black and white color even if the printer is a laser colour one. I am always have to uninstalled the lexmark multifuntional driver and then use the xerox printer.
I had a year of troubleshoot and i didn’t reliaze that it was because the Lexmark driver.
