Description

Still using HP Photosmart 100 printer? Well, I have tried to look for the Windows Vista driver and seems that HP have decided that this model is too old (more than seven years) and there is no need to support it in Windows Vista. Here is the words from HP just in case you are interested:

We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista.

The majority of HP products not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years old.

If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista. HP has numerous products on the market that support Windows Vista.

For more information on the different options, click the How to Buy link at the top of the page.

So I think your options are either continue using older OS other than Windows Vista or buy a new printer which has Windows Vista driver supports.

Then perhaps the next printer you buy should be a Canon.

HP has a habit of dropping their products and telling its customers to upgrade to another product like money grows on trees. When a printer still works and we want to use it HP should go write the damn driver or we should quit buying their products.

Beyond dissappointed that there is no VISTA driver for my HP 100. How difficult would writing one really be?

I can’t begin to count the number of HP calculators, desktop PCs, laptops, PRINTERS, ink that I have purchased and continue to use over the last 30 years. I have LOVED HP, but these past few years have started to the luster fade. And a tablet with no rear-facing camera? Come on … keep me with HP … don’t make me go Apple …
