Description

If you are looking for software or device drivers for Logitech X-530 speakers, the truth is you do not need one. However, here is some interesting technological description on drivers used in Logitech X-530 speakers.

A speaker driver is a thin layer of fabric or paper which turn electricity into sound waves in the air, by moving the layers in different frequency.

Logitech claims to use a technology called Frequency Directed Dual Drivers (FDD2) in its X-530 speakers. FDD2 is described as:

Two drivers are often used to boost sound efficiency in small drivers. At higher frequencies, the sound radiated by these drivers can interfere, creating zones with too much or too little sound.

To enhance our speakers, we developed a technology called Frequency Directed Dual Drivers (FDD2). We use two identical full-range drivers in each satellite. A special filter that detects specific frequencies is applied to one of the drivers. It gradually mutes specific frequencies in that driver as needed to prevent hot spots or dead zones in the sound field. The result is superior sound quality throughout the entire frequency range of the speaker.
