Kyocera KPC650 Driver

Applies To Kyocera Passport KPC650 1xEV-DO PC Card
Author Kyocera
Driver Version ver. 1.0
File Name KPC650_Drivers_1.0.zip
File Size 2.7 MB
Requirements Windows Vista
Description The zipped driver file includes Vista drivers, Install Procedure, and Vista dial-up networking instructions.

After download the zip file, extract to a temporary folder in your desktop. Find KPCUSBDriver.msi, which is the Installation Database for Kyocera Wireless USB Driver for Data Cards. Double click to start the driver installation.

After installation finished and restarted your PC, you will find a new modem named [Kyocera CDMA Wireless Modem] found under Device Manager -> Modem. If no error found (no exclamations mark), good and proceed to next step to setup the driver.

You are now ready to set up your KPC650/Passport PC card for dial up services. Currently, the dialing software used to connect to your provider network is NOT Windows VISTA compatible. Therefore, you MUST set up a new Dial Up networking connection for Internet access until VISTA compatible dialing software is released by your wireless provider.

If you are a Verizon Wireless customer who uses VZAccess Manager, please visit Verizon’s web site at http://www.vzam.net/ for VISTA compatible release dates.

If you are anAlltel customer who uses QuickLink Mobile, please contact Alltel at 1-800-255-8351 for VISTA compatible release dates.

For all other customers, the dialing software for the card will not work -- You must use Vista Dial Up Networking.
