If you search on Gateway driver download page for Gateway MC7801U webcam, you will naturally using [MC7801U] as a keyword to look for the drivers right? Well, that was what I did at first, which unfortunately did not have any drivers for webcam. Here is the link just in case you want to have a look. Out of 20 files found and no single trace of webcam driver.

Then I proceed to work the other way round. I tried to look for all the webcam drivers, which will show what system/series/models are supported by the particular webcam. So now 144 files found. Great, now I need to open one by one to see which webcam is compatible with MC7801. Seems that there are four main webcam suppliers for Gateway notebooks:

Anyway, back to the Gateway MC7801U webcam driver. Only Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit) drivers supported by the time being. If you are looking for Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 2000 drivers, either they are included in your Windows or you may want to check the page later to see if a webcam driver for your Windows is available.
