Description

If you are looking for ATI Radeon 9250 Windows Vista driver, you are out of luck because ATI is not going to supply any drivers for the 9250 cards.

The facts:

From Catalyst 6.6 and up ATI removed driver-level support for the following series of cards (including Mobility models): 7000, 7200, 7500, 8500, 9000, 9200, 9250.

These are from ATI support: Vista requires video cards to provide hardware acceleration for DirectX 9.0 (Radeon 9500 and higher). Your product only provides this support for DirectX 8.1, hence it we are unable to provide Vista drivers for the same.

Windows Vista Aero effect is not supported by ATI Radeon 9250, but other basic functions may work as good as in Windows XP, even some games too.

Some one mentioned that third party modified ATI Radeon driver is supporting 9250 in Vista, however after detailed examination, I found that is not true, but then again, I do not own a ATI Radeon 9250 so I do not get a chance to test them all.

So if you are feeling lucky and want to try the third party modified driver, you can find them after the download link.

For Vista and an stable System with
    ATI Radeon 9250 or 9200Series
use the NGO ATi Opitmized Driver 1.6.3 file=> atiodngov163.exe

Funzzt without any BlueScreen but there is no ‘AERO’ couse this Radeon is not a DirectX10 Card

    Have Fun!!

Had no problems thus far with the Vista driver for this 9250 card, but a conflict apparently was created once physically installing this card as my PS/2 to USB KVM failed to be recognized upon reboot, had to install other Keyboad/Mouse grrr.
