Ahh.. some warning before you actually update the Asus P5Q Pro Turbo motherboard BIOS, although the technology is mature enough to fail:

1. Please note, BIOS update is only recommended when experiencing technical difficulties with your system, And is not recommended to be performed regularly.
2. Moreover, due to the nature of BIOS update, there is certain level of dangers involved. BIOS update must be performed with extreme caution . During BIOS update process, your system must be maintained without interference or power loss to prevent unexpected damage.
3. In case of BIOS update failure, please follow instructions in your User\\\'s Manual for guidelines on BIOS recovery via CrashFree BIOS. In the event that BIOS recovery is not recoverable via CrashFree BIOS, please contact your place of purchase for further assistance on BIOS recovery.

Back to the latest BIOS for Asus P5Q Pro motherboard. The BIOS file consists of a single ROM file, P5Q-PRO-ASUS-TURBO-0401.ROM. You will need to have the BIOS update utility, Afudos BIOS update tool V2.36 to update the ROM file into your BIOS.

To update the BIOS, download the ROM file and extract it into a temporary folder, e.g. c:/temp. Then download and extract Afudos BIOS update tool into the same folder. Go to dos prompt and change directory [cd temp] and run afu236u.exe. This is the exect syntax for Afudos:

afudos /i [/o]

So in our case we will need to key in:
