After searching through Olympus Japan, Olympus Europe and Olympus USA website, I could not see any VN-200PC model. Please make sure your recorder model number is correct. However I managed to find the nearest match, a VN-2000PC digital sound recorder, with matching Windows 7 and Windows XP, 2000 and 98 drivers.
Here is the installation instructions with software update:
- Download the driver file VN_2000PC_Setup.zip and extract to a temporary folder e.g. C:\temp\
- Run setup.exe on C:\temp\VN_2000PC_Setup\XP_2K_ME_98. This will install the Olympus Digital Wave Player software.
- To install USB adaptor driver for Digital Voice Recorder, follow the steps below:
- Plug in your Olympus VS-2000PC recorder into a USB port.
- Run 'COMPMGMT.MSC'
- Go to DEVICE MANAGER and select Recorder under 'other devices'. Right click and select Properties.
- Select Driver tab and click 'Reinstall Driver'
- Follow on screen instruction and when you have reached the driver location screen, browse to 'C:\temp\VN_2000PC_Setup\XP_2K_ME_98\Drivers\VN' and select the INF file.
