Gateway MX6426 is using a TI (Texas Instruments) 4-in-1 media card reader. You will need to install this mass storage driver before you can read any SD/MMC/memory stick using the card reader.
Gateway MX6426 Card Reader Mass Storage Driver Installation
- After you have downloaded and double-clicked the file D20009-000-001.exe, files self-extract and copy into the C:/Cabs/D20009-000-001 folder on the hard drive.
- For Windows XP:
- From the start menu, click on Run and type: C:/Cabs/D20009-000-001/Setup.exe, and then press ENTER.
- Follow all on screen instructions to complete the installation.
- For Windows Vista:
- From the Start menu, in the Start Search field, type: C:/Cabs/D20009-000-001/Setup.exe, and then press ENTER.
- In the User Account Control dialog box, click Allow/Continue.
- Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
