This is the latest driver for Lexmark 5400 series printers. It is compatible to be used in Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000. For Windows 7 Lexmark has stated that you can use the Windows Vista driver because for many of Lexmark products, the Windows Vista driver can work in Windows 7 perfectly.
The driver file for Lexmark 5400 printers is quite large at 85.60 MB and even with this big size there is no fax or OCR software included. The driver file is labeled as [Lexmark Host Based Solution] and the driver allows your Lexmark 5400 printer to be used across local network via Direct IP printing or Shared printing (see page 87 on your Lexmark 5400 printer user manual which can be downloaded here).
