Intel 855GM chipset graphics memory controller hub (GMCH-M) is a video graphic component of Intel Centrino processor technology using Pentium M processor.
Many are looking for 855 GM video driver for Windows Vista. According to Intel graphic driver page, Windows Vista driver for older Intel graphic controller, such as 855GM is only available in XPDM format. What is XPDM format? Well, Windows Vista supports two graphic drivers:
- XPDM (Windows XP Driver Model)
XPDM has an interface resembles Windows XP user interface but do NOT support Vista Premium features such as Microsoft AERO user interface technology.
- WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model)
WDDM provides 3D graphic user interface (AERO technology) to users.
