Description

This is the touchpad driver for Dell Inspiron 6000. In this version, Dell added a new enchancement to thhe toucpad where by when a USB mouse is plugged in to your Inspiron 6000, a message will be pop up to infors the user that a mouse has been detected, and the touchpad has been disabled. The touchpad icon located at the system tray will sbould a red cross icon to inform the user that the touchpad is disabled. To enable the touchpad, user may go to the Devices tab to enable it via ticking a checkbox.

Below is the installation guideline for Inspiron 6000 touchpad driver :

1. Download the R113813.exe file.
2. Double click on R113813.exe the to extract the files.
3. From the Start menu, select Settings, then choose Control Panel.
4. Double click Mouse to open Mouse Properties.
5. Click on the Hardware tab, and then click Properties.
6. Select the Driver tab, and then click Change.
7. Click Next.
8. Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver, and then click Next.
9. Click on Have Disk.
10. Click Browse.
11. Choose specific directory name that you have extracted the R113813.exe.
12. Choose Apfiltr.inf, and then click Open.
13. Click OK to continue.
14. Click on Alps Pointing-device, and then click Next.
15. Choose Next to copy the driver files to your Dell Inspiron 6000 system.
16. Click Finish.
17. Click Close to exit from the setup.
18. Click Yes to perform restart your Dell Inspiron 6000 system.
