According to this Wikipedia page, Farallon SkyLINE is just one of the many rebrands of an ORiNOCO product that utilizing the WaveLAN chipsets. ORiNOCO WaveLAN chipset is a product of wireless networking solutions by Proxim Wireless (previously Lucent).

Farallon SkyLINE Wireless PC Card Windows 98 Driver Installation Steps

  • Download and unzip the driver file 601win98.exe to a temporary folder e.g. D:\Drivers\Win_98
  • Connect the Farallon SkyLINE USB wireless card to the USB port on the system.
  • In the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box, click Next.
  • Select the Specify a location check box, and then type: D:\Drivers\Win_98
  • The Wizard finds the drivers. Click Next.
  • Insert the Windows 98 CD, and then click OK.
  • Follow on screen instructions. You may need to restart your Win98 PC for the new driver to start working.
