The product you have selected has reached the end of its service life. Support for this product is limited to materials available on the Creative Customer Support website before its discontinuation. This may include Knowledge Base solutions, drivers, application updates and product documentation.

However, there are still some driver supports up to Windows XP. The driver called Sound Blaster AudioPCI (Drivers only) Web Update is in zipped format consists of two files: SBAPW2K.LIB and SBAUDIOSetupus.exe

One particular note for Windows ME and 2000 users:

  1. AC3 Passthrough Support in Windows Millennium Edition:

There is AC3 passthrough support in Windows Millennium Edition but not in Windows 2000.

  2. No support for CDDA in Windows Millennium Edition:

If you encounter audio distortion while performing playback and recording simultaneously, disable CDDA to fix this problem.

  3. Limitation of Recording Operation for Digital Audio Output:

For digital audio output, there will be an increase in the playback volume to maximum when Mixed Output is not selected as the recording source.

This problem is due to a hardware limitation.
