In order to install this Windows Vista driver (Canon Advanced Raster Printing System Driver for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista Version 3.00 Installer Disk), do not connect the USB cable until you installed the driver first. Otherwise Driver installer will not work.
To install the Vista driver, download and run the zipped driver file (PrinterDriver_V300_Win_x32_us_EN_7.exe), you will see a prompt asking where you would like to unzip the files. Choose the default folder and after the decompression done, run setup.exe to start the driver installation. Follow on screen steps to finish the installation.
This driver also work for Windows 7, however take note of the following cautions
and limitations.
- Depending on the printer model you are using, you may not be able to install the printer driver correctly in Windows XP Mode.
- The following software included in the CD-ROM does not operate in Windows 7.
- UFRII LT XPS printer driver
- WIA Network ScanGear
