Realtek ALC883 series 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio (HDA) codecs are compliant with Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture. The ALC883 series provide 10 DAC channels that simultaneously support 7.1 sound playback, plus 2 channels of independent stereo sound output (multiple streaming) through the front panel stereo output. Flexible mixing, mute, and fine gain control functions provide a complete integrated audio solution for home entertainment PCs.

Installation procedure for Realtex ALC883 HD Audio Codec for Windows 7 is as followed:
Run the setup.exe from Vista_Win7_R253.exe
Click on [Next] to continue. If the Windows popup [Windows cannot verify the publisher of this driver software] message, press [Install this driver software anyway] to continue the installation.
Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete the installation.
